About HCA

The Huron Community Association (HCA) hires a Program Director to establish a program schedule and she, alongside her team of dedicated program instructors, brings a variety of programs to the HCC and local areas such as Freedom Church and the Huron Natural Area for our community members to partake in. During the Fall, Winter and Spring sessions, we can see up to 1200 participants walk through our doors each week! While Summer programming is a little more limited, we’re always happy to see the hundreds of people who sign up for our activities.

In addition to our programs, the HCA Board of Directors, alongside event volunteers, do our best to bring free event opportunities that are inclusive, caring and meet the needs of our Huron Neighbours. We encourage you to volunteer at or join us for one of our upcoming events!

The Huron Community

Our community is a vibrant one and is home to some amazing places to visit. We have the Huron Natural area, Parkvale Park, Sophia Park, the walkway through the hydro corridor and so much more. We’re proud to show support for beautifying our neighbourhood by installing and upkeep the flowerbeds in front of the Huron Village and Huron Woods entrance signs. With your help, we could expand those gardens to Saddlebrook and other areas in the hood.

Whether you are walking through the ‘hood, participating in our programs or joining us at one of our events, we want to create a healthy and happy neighbourbood with you. Let’s work together to foster a safe, vibrant and active community.
